GWR is on a distinguished road
Mac Specs: iMac C2D - PB G4 - iBook G4 - iMac G3 DV SE

My refurb'd 20" C2D iMac has been up and running for over a week now and I'm ready to upgrade the 1G of RAM to 2G.
I saw OWC has their own branded RAM and was wondering if it was a good brand of memory underneath the OWC label.

I also saw the MacAlly Combination USB 2.0 / FireWire Hub and the OWC Mercury Elite Pro FireWire / USB Enclosure Kit.
Anyone using either of these?

Thanks

I bought RAM for my iMac at OWC, using their branded RAM. No problems what so ever, plus it has a lifetime warranty, just in case.

Currently running OS X 10.10

I would recommend OWC as well: bought RAM from them for an old grape iMac years ago and they were very nice, helpful and efficient.

I too was considering memory from OWC. My question is whether their memory modules are identical (at least in configuration) to the OEM modules. I'm pretty sure that the MBP is dual-channel capable, but as I understand it, the modules have the be absolutely identical. Does anyone know?

Well if no one in here knows you can always email OWC as they are very helpful. When I ordered my RAM those many years ago, I wanted to make absolutely sure of what I was going to order and they replied within the same weekday.

Here might be a good place to send in your question.
