iMac - How do I remove cd/dvd drive?

As the title suggests I am looking for a tutorial on how to remove my cd drive, my sons have managed to get not one but two cd's stuck in and I have tried everything to get them out, so the only way I can think of removing them now is to get inside and take out the drive and then jump up and down on the dammed thing in my working boots!
Any help greatly appreciated.

Does the G3 have a little pin hole next to the CD loading tray?

Yes and it does not work, I have exhausted all avenues and I think I now need to open up the back.
