The isight camera in the new imacs. How many mega pixels is it?

And also will the 17" screen version be able to display High Definition?

The iSight is 640x480, approximately 1/3 MP.

Thanks for the info. But does anyone know how good the photos it takes? Like are they good enough for a photo album or such?

they should be taken at the same res of what it displays at - aprox 1.3mp

they will be ok for web images for example i use them on my site

but if you want them much bigger then you will have to be careful they dont pixelate/get distored

The screen resolution is 1440x900 which is considered Hi-Def.

Thanks for the info. Looks like I'll have to get myself a digital camera also one day. Anyways I'll play around with the isight camera when I get my imac.
