G4 Sawtooth has some internal HD size limitations when it comes to upgrade the int. HD. Is it true that by installing a PCI card to your G4 Sawtooth, you could bypass these limitations for an external HD size? What would be the maximum size ext. HD you could connect? Is sky the limit? :mac:

You definitely need an IDE/ATA card to use drives larger than 120GB. A good one is the Sonnet Tempo ATA133 PCI card. Check it out:
http://www.sonnettech.com/product/tempo_ata133.html I have one in my old Sawtooth for my daughter. It works great. You can sometimes find them on eBay for really cheap. |

http://www.compusa.com/products/prod...ct_code=288605 Is this compatible with the one you are suggesting? Or, do I have to get a new one? Thanks for the help. |
