for the past month or so my iMac freezes up at least 3 times a week. I walk away and sometimes when I get back, it's fine, but other times it just sticks and won't do anything.

any thoughts or ideas on what could be causing this and how I could fix it? I use it for general net surfing and to manage my music, pictures and videos.

thanks!

Are the maintenance schedules running? These are set to run in the early hours, but won't run if you're Mac isn't awake at this time. Macaroni will allow you to run them at a time of your choosing. I run mine when the screensaver's active.
