I have a dvd in my drive and it isnt working in the computer. It keeps making a sound like its coming to a halt from a spin. The dvd drive also wont open when I press the eject button. Please help the sound is driving me nuts!

Mac Specs: Mac Pro 8x3.0ghz 12gb ram 8800GT , MBP 2.16 2GB Ram 17 inch.

you should search this has been discussed many times and you would have had your answer faster...

first turn your computer off while turning it back on... hold the mouse button down it will open the drive.
