Power Mac - powermac airport question

i am thnking about buying a used powermac without an airport card. i was wondering if i took the airport card out of my ibook g3 if it would work in the powermac. thanks for the help.

Depends on what kind of PM. If it's a G4 based one, then likely yes, although not all of them will take it. If it's a G5, then no, all of the G5 based PMs use Airport Extreme cards vice Airport cards. The pin out and shape of the cards is physically different.
