Hi. My college is clearing its inventory of imacs. The old education imac, the one with 1.83ghz dual core, 512ram, 80 gb hd, Intel GMA 950 graphics, airport extreme, and a DVD-ROM/CD-RW disc drive. This is for $599 new. I wanted your opinions because I was considering a macbook but this may be too good a deal to pass? What do you think? Worth it over a laptop? Thanks.
QUOTE Thanks

That is quite a nice machine for the price, though you can probably get the new (similar) core2duo 17" iMac or the macbook for roughly 950$ through apple's education store or your on-campus apple program.
