if i got an intel imac and upgraded the ram myself because of apple's massive ram prices, how easy is it to access the ram slots?

It's pretty easy.
They're on the underside of the screen. Two slots, two screws each.
You push the little tabs, pull the RAM out, and replace it.I try to Command+Shift+/ when I can.
