Apple uses all sorts of brands for RAM. There is no set brand that is used exclusively in Macs direct from Apple.

Samsung Kingston IBM some no-name brand I have never heard of before, etc. Apple buys whatever they can get the best price on (like most companies do) and just uses that in the machines. __________________________________________________ Posting and YOU|Forum Community Guidelines|The Apple Product Cycle|Forum Courtesy mac: a waterproof raincoat made of rubberized fabric MAC: a data communication protocol sub-layer, also known as the Media Access Control Mac: a brand name which covers several lines of personal computers designed, developed, and marketed by Apple Inc.
