I have a Powermac G4 with a 433 MHz power pc processor. I'm new with macs but really like it and am interested in getting a new mac mini with a 1.6 or 1.8 GHz processor. How will a 1.66 GHz intel processor compare with a 433 MHz power pc processor, and is it worth the swap?
QUOTE Thanks

use this link http://www.systemshootouts.org/processors.html to see a general comparison of mac speeds. your G4 doesn't even make the bottom of the list where the mini is up near the top.

depending on the ram, it would be like night and day.

From a G4 400MHz to an Intel Mac Mini to iMac Core Duo to a Macbook Pro 2.6GHz.............gotta love Apple!
QUOTE Thanks
