iMac - httpmail hotmail sync on-the-fly?

I'm crurrently using the httpmail open source plugin for Mac's mail program. Works great, however I'm wondering if there's way to have it sync on the fly like on a PC with Outlook Express? When you read the the message it updates the server immediately whereas on Mail you have to read it, check mail(sync), then move it to the trash. Otherwise it will be marked as unread in the trash on the hotmail server. Its not really a big deal but I've become anal about these things.
