need help for internet!

Hello I just bought a G5, when i go online and surf internet, I can't see the space like on windeow explorer where I can write the web address I want to go. Can you please help me and told me what to do. Thank you for any help.

What browser are you using?
If you are using Safari, make sure that the "show address bar" option is there under the view menu.
