I have a new 20" 2 Gig Intel Core Duo running fairly slow with applications. I have the standard 512 RAM. Should I just upgrade to 2 - 1 Gig RAM memory cards? If so, any recommendations on where to purchase and how much I should reasonably pay? I see from other forum entries that it's a simple install with 2 screws at the bottom. Anyone done the upgrade and have any hints? Thanks.

I upgraded from the stock 512 and added an additional 1GB, for a total of 1.5GB. This would be one of the cheapest ways out, but you will get the added bonus of dual channel mode if you have 2 matching pieces of memory in the iMac. I'm using an extra 1GB module from OCZ. Installation was pretty easy, just make sure you line it up right, cause the fitment is pretty tight.
