Dual Graphics Card Question

Hello all,
I am curious if I buy and install another graphics card in my powermac quad, will I gain any performance in real time effects in final cut, and motion? or is the second graphics card just good for adding extra monitors besides just two.

Not sure. I know ATI has the CrossFire stuffs, where one card is for Physics and one is for Rendering or something. Someone could probably clarify.
