G4 bigger hard drive oddity

First post, and it's a 'Help' thing. Oh well....

OK, so I've got an old 2000-vintage G4 whose old 30GB HD went wonky and a mate has just dropped a nice 250GB Seagate HD in. It's running Tiger.

Now the oddity - the machine is only seeing half (128GB, to be exact) of the disk.

Suggestions?

Edit: Ah. Another source says that pre-Quicksilver machines can't cope with more than 128GB anyway......

I think if you split the drive into two partitions, you should be able to all of the drive.
