iMac - iMac 500 no see drives

So I just got this iMac 500.. It can't see the hard drive or CD-rom drive for some reason.. I just get the question mark icon flashing on the screen. I know both are good, they just came out of my iMac 350.. Do I need to reset something to get them to work?

Close to the memory slots there will be a small button on a square base. The button is usually made of rubber and might be red or grey. Push this button once. This resets the PMU and should force the iMac to recognise the new hardware that has been installed. Another issue that could cause this could be jumper settings. Make sure that the settings on the new drives match the settings on the old hardware.

Got it.. I *think* it was remove a stick of ram (1 out of 2) then boot up with the PRAM reset keys on the keyboard. That FINALLY did the trick.
