Hello all.
I'm sorry if this is in the wrong forum - i have an eMac and felt the Mac Mini forum was the closest to my problem ... My problem is with iSync and i was hoping someone here could help me. A few months ago i removed iSync by deleting the icon from the Applications folder. I recently needed it so i downloaded the new version from Apple and installed it but when i double click it to run it then icon goes down to the dock for a second or half a second then disappears and the program does not open. Does anyone know why this is and how i can get this program to work again? Thanks you in advance for anyone that can offer me any assistance. Andy :mac: |

you may try repairing permissions first for good measure, possibly deleting the preferences to create new ones for the updated iSync. Let us know.

I have repaired the permissions with no luck unfortunately. Not quite sure how to delete the preferences - could you please tell me how to do that? Thank you again for your efforts. Andy |

in your user library look for isync.pref (or something similar) and throw it away. Another new one is created automatically.

I've just looked in there and there is nothing by that name - ive searched for isync in spotlight and nothing with that name has been found (other than the isync that i just downloaded that is in Applications)
Do you have any other ideas? Bit stumped and its a right pain! heh Thanks for your continued help. Andy |

OK here might be the problem - in this thread the 10.4.6 was a patch for iSync 2.1, so someone would have to get you iSync 2.2 for it to work. There was an associated link here where this guy alledgedly posted iSync for others to use. Let me know how this works.
