Yes, we have all seen threads like those that don't belong here. It makes little difference what the hardware is, if you have a software question or issue, then it goes in a software forum.
Most of the misplaced threads here get moved to their proper homes anyway.

And just to clarify, this is for Mac Pro, Power Mac, eMac, iMac and Mac mini hardware questions.

Issues dealing with connecting Printers, TV's, External HD's, USB card readers, etc or any other issues dealing with those devices all go in the "Other Hardware and Peripherals" forum.
