Radeon 9800 Pro—I use one myself on your very model of Mac; it's a PC flashed one which I got for £80—there is a seller on eBay that sells the pre-flashed for £99. It is fully Mac compatible an I have not had a single problem with it. It has a DVI, VGA and S-video out which all work, and I run 2 Dell 20" LCDs from the DVI and VGA output. It also supports monitor rotate with ATI's sys' preferences.

It has 128MB VRAM and will really fly on your G4 DA's 4x AGP slot.

Are you sure the speakers are plugged in? If they are, reinstall the drivers.

as Lil mentioned the 9800 would really improve the graphix performance and give you dual monitor support, but the 9800s are expensive. If you just want dual monitors, you could get a 9600 much cheaper here: http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Apple/630ATI96G4/

I dare say that is an adapted PowerMac G5 Radeon 9600 Pro card which will work—except that the ADC socket is not powered, and it may work with a ADC->DVI adapter but I'm not sure. It's quite easy to adapt to get power through it though with a bit of wire, soldering iron etc.

This was the reason I recommended the 9800 Pro; a superior card and fully working from the get go.

Same 9600 card but in the UK: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/B1802-NEW-MAC-...QQcmdZViewItem

The 9800 Pro that I mentioned on eBay in the uk: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ATI-9800-PRO-X...QQcmdZViewItem
