Hey i got one of the newest G5 2.0 Dual Core powermacs but i didnt get it with wireless or antyhing built in cause i already had my airport card from my old i mac.
WRONG! Found out that its not a d.i.y. jobby anymore and you have to get the new wireless/bluetooth module installed by a proper dealer. Gonna cost over a £100 i think including everything (delivery, labour etc) I was briefly reading through some mac rumours site the other day and saw some mention of AirPort Extreme-X2. Is this a new standard thats coming out, and if it is should i wait until then or what? Basically i can hold out till about june/july with ethernet but then im moving flat and its essential that i have wireless then. Any help or info would be gratefully recieved!! |
