I'm considering buying one of the core duo mini's to hook up to my 60" hdtv. my two real reasons are I want to run itunes through my stereo (and yes I know the airport express will do this, but my imac is in another room), and i download a lot of video files (tv shows and such) and want to be able to watch them on my tv and not on my imac.

anyone using one like this? seems made for it with front row and that new networking software (bonjour?).

i'm just leery of buying a rev A.

Yeah, should be ideal for what you want to do.

If you're planning on running 1080p material on there, go for the dual core model though.
The core solo chokes on Apple's 1080p movie trailers, the core duo plays them perfectly (even through bonjour&airport).

definately getting the duo for the 1080p material

i've heard some bad things about the mini's in this purpose though. like, front row isn't that great and such. supposedly there are better windows pc alternatives but um no thanks  i no longer own a windows machine and i intend on keeping it that way

Well, front row obviously lacks the DVR functionality... but apart from that I think this would be a brilliant setup...
Plus it's nice because it's so simple, but fairly unobtrusive. Also, if anyone stops by with a mac laptop, you can see their stuff on your mini wirelessly too!
