    Numbers and Strings
Hi I am using numbers and i what to use pop-up menu with roughly 3 - 5 prices per pop-up menu. I want to put a description next to the price so i remember what the price refers to. Here is an example

    $15 basic food

    $20 premium food

The problem i have is when i had text to the description it returns me an error message

The operator "*" expects a number, but the cell contains a string

    Many thanks

I think you have to define the cell as " text " to achieve that, but than you may encounter issues when you use the cell for calculation.
You may need a bit of extra ' spreadsheet magic ' to use the cell for calculation.

A computer lets you make more mistakes faster than any invention in human history - with the possible exceptions of handguns and tequila.
The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
