Open Finder - you'll see a Dropbox folder in the sidebar - you should also have the Dropbox icon on the Menu bar. There is no separate app that opens.

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.

Thanks, I already had a Dropbox folder as I've been using it for years. I assumed the app icon would appear in the dock, missed it in the Menu bar.

I couldn't get the "Move to Dropbox" option in files' context menus but suddenly it has appeared so I guess the second installation has worked.

Many of these apps that add to the Finder functionality can require either a restart or re-launching Finder before the new services work - as Finder is still using the un-modified file(s) that were loaded into memory. Not sure about Dropbox - been too long since I installed it.
