How do you transfer files from a PC to an I Mac?

Mac Specs: 2013 MBA 13" - OS X 10.10.1

McBie is offline
Either via removable media ( external disk, Thumb drive, ....... ) or via a share you create on your windows box and connect to from your iMac. ( The second option is an estimated guess as I never tried that before )
