G3 and OS X???

ok i just got a power mac G3 and was wondering if i need to do any thing special to put os x on it?

i got an old iMac G3 and to put asx on it i had to first install 9.1 and update the firm ware then i was able to put os x on it, do the power macs have the same problem?

Which PM G3 did you get? My B&W didn't require a FW update for OSX, but it did for 9.2.

Installing panther was painless on my B&W.

I'm running Tiger 10.4.5 on my B&W, 300mhz , 778mb ram. Runs like a clock.
