Just ordered Mac Mini, but which speakers & cd drive??

Just ordered a new mac mini, but am after advice on speakers and optical drive. Ideally i'd like 5.1 surround sound but am not sure how to connect it up as I doubt the headphone socket would support it. Also a solid reliable cd/dvd writer.
