iMac - Disc Usage

I got my iMac g5 80GB last year. For the most part love it. However, when I look in Activity Monitor it says Space utilized is 74.41 GB and I have zero free. I do have about 10gb worth of songs, but find it hard to believe that I have no space left...

Any suggestions??

I konw this may sound stupid but have you emptied your trash?

Tried that. Dumped alot of photos and other stuff that I never used. I dont think I have that much stuff on it, and just amazed that I have no space...

Restart and see if that number changes. OSX will often eat up hard disc space as part of the swap file or virtual memory and not tell you it has cleared when it is done. I notice this when moving large numbers of files around.
