I need to erase/reformat an old G5, but the screen no longer works. What would be the best way to do this? I'm just gonna recycle/give it away and just want to make sure all my private info is gone. Can someone help? thanks very much.

G'day and welcome to the forums.

Suggest removing the hard and keeping it in an external case as a backup drive.

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
