Is there a problem that you are having with ML? If not, why the attempt to downgrade? The easiest way to downgrade is to erase and reinstall..

I ended up doing a clean install,I made a USB boot drive of M\L & reinstalled,I am glad that i stayed on M\L
my iMac 27 I5 2.7 1TB HDD 12 G RAM is running like i first got it,I am so happy,I had to much junk on it & programmes that i was just not using,I backed up everything to a 1 TB WD desktop HDD just incase, I am really enjoying my mac again, no more swirly beach balls annoying me..

Glad to hear. I've been upgrading from SL to Lion to ML and my 2009 i7 iMac still is as fast as the day I got it..
