    Just got a Mac Mini
    i paid a little more than I wanted to. Its a 2ghz Intel C2D with 4gb RAM and a 250Gb HDD. I plan to put Ubuntu Linux on it and make it a home file server and a backup server for our MacBook Pros. I'm so excited!!!

    Awesome…congratulations! Nice that it came with 4gig of ram as well. Then you don't have to fool around upgrading it.

    I've been looking for one of these as well. I have a couple of the G4 Mac-Mini's…but they're not nearly as capable as the Intel Mini's.

    I'm waiting until a "killer deal" comes my way.

    Just put OSX Server and it will do the same thing. I dont have Server installed on mine, but I still share out drives and even run it as a media server, and hooked up to my TV. works a wonder out of the box.

    And for outside the network sharing, I use Plex for media.
