Help 2007 mac mini not booting

as the title says HELP. whenever a try to turn on my 2007 mac mini, it powers on and see the light go on and. i also hear something spin, but nothing happens after that. both monitors i have tried say no signal and i never hear that chime sound that macs make when they startup. this computer had corrupted ram a couple of years ago if that helps. can someone please tell me if they had similar problems, and what they did. i would hate to take it to get fixed again… please help.

The no chime sound when booting up is a bad sign. It usually indicates a problem with the logic board. Since the machine is a 2007 model, it might be time to invest in a new one.

What usually causes this? it was working fine a couple of days ago. Thank you for responding.

Several contributing factors such as age, dust, overheating and failing capacitors.

I started to notice that it was taking longer to wake from sleep, a usb port was not always working, and it could not reach the max display resolution for my display. i am going to get it checked out. are these signs of a logic board failure, so in the future i can tell. Thank you

Make sure you get an estimate of how much it will cost to check it out. A machine that old may not be worth having it diagnosed much less repaired. If you can get it checked out for free, go ahead and do it.
