    getting grey apple screen and nothing else
    I just aquired an power mac g4 with the mirroreed doors when i start it up I only get the grey Apple screen with the little spinning wheel and does nothing else. what can be the issue not familiar with the apple products

    2011 13" MBP 2.3ghz, 8gig ram, OS 10.8.5
    Two possibilities:

    1. There isn't a valid OS installed on the HD for the computer to boot from.
    2. The hard drive is dead, and needs to be replaced.

    replacing hard drive
    is there a step by step guide with illistraations on replacing the hard drive in a paower mac g4 with mirrored doors

    Replacing the hard drive in just about any Powermac G4 computer is very easy. But if additional instructions & photos are needed…here you go:
