So i woke up this morning and found bars running down the centre of my BRAND NEW IMAC G5. I rebooted, still there. I restarted, still there. What is wrong. I know the pixels are not dead, it just angers me that this happened out of nowhere. Can anyone help me.

Do the bars appear as soon as the display is lit up? When do they appear? If it's as soon as the display is lit up, it's probably a hardware issue. It's best to call Apple, they might just give you a new one, if it's very brand new.
