Recommendation for DVD-RW Drive

My mother has one of those macs that looks like a desklamp. She would like to have a drive where she can read and write DVDs. Any recommendations that will work with this hardware and are mac-friendly?

At the Apple Store they have a LaCie drive. Is it recommended?

I would recommend a LaCie DVD burner also.

I am looking at get one of these (LaCie d2 DVD±RW with LightScribe).

I use a pioneer external 110 with my mini, it's a great little burner and relatively inexpensive.
