    Serial-ATA in 27" iMac
    I really could use some help figuring out why the Serial-ATA device tree has an extra "Intel 6 Series Chipset" but nothing appears connected. I am pretty sure I only have one HD and one optical drive - so can someone help me figure this out?

    Way... way too many specs to list.
    There is another sata connector on the board that isn't used.

    iMac, i7 4GHz, 32GB memory, 1TB PCI-e storgae StOS X.13.3
    Yes second hard drive for say an SSD is vacant. You can get the iMac from Apple with the HDD and a 256GB SSD in slot 2.
    Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
