Serial-ATA in 27" iMac

I really could use some help figuring out why the Serial-ATA device tree has an extra "Intel 6 Series Chipset" but nothing appears connected. I am pretty sure I only have one HD and one optical drive - so can someone help me figure this out?

There is another sata connector on the board that isn't used.

Yes second hard drive for say an SSD is vacant. You can get the iMac from Apple with the HDD and a 256GB SSD in slot 2.

Thank you! I'm scouring the System Profile and logs looking for an answer regarding my previous thread: iMac, Three years of AppleCare Red Tape & No Solution In Sight - Mac-Forums.com
