MacPro 2113 Optical drive failure, finding a replacement...

The Sony NEC Optiarc Inc AD-7170A unit in my MacPro has crapped out on me.

Mac Pro EMS 2113.

Im trying to find a replacment of some type, doesnt need to be the same brand/unit. I ordered a iHAP222 for it and received an iHAP422, which some users say is compatible, i can not get it to detect on the mac so I will be returning the unit.

Any help would be superb... the LiteOn iHAP Im told is of "OK" quality.

All they have is the LiteOn iHAP and it has subpar reviews, I was looking for an alternative.

Personally prefer the Pioneer DVR-118. They are quite cheap at the moment and are recognized as native by Mac Pros.
