I just bought a 27-inch 2.7GHz i5 iMac for $1,800 with a student discount. I want to use it mainly for photoshop (drawing, digital photo editing) so I am hoping it can handle CS5 and PSE 10 as my PC could not... ):

I also used my PC for gaming so I'm hoping my new iMac can be used for it as well... Mainly for Steam games and WoW. I like to play at high-ish graphics so I'm hoping my iMac can handle it. (WoW with sunshafts and medium shadows, for example) Does anyone have any experience with playing games on my model?

Looking forward to using my first ever Mac!

It will definitely play them but weather or not it will play them on highest settings is the question. Gaming these days relies just as much on the graphics card as they do the CPU as most games rely on the graphics card for things like dynamic lighting, texture shading, etc

Looks like you mac uses the AMD Radeon HD 6770M with 512mb graphics memory. 512 mb is pretty good and it will play most games but I'm not sure if it will play them on highest settings. I know a lot of hardcore gamers usually use at least 1GB but they're also playing the latest things on highest settings.
