Does it appear greyed out or anything at all in Disk Utility? If not sounds like you have a dead hard drive. You can try booting from the install discs and see if Disk Utility can find it to run repair Disk,
Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer! |
