I have been happily running my iMac 27" for a couple of years and I love it.
It is has now decided to make all the fonts in my browser windows bold. This happens in Safari and Firefox. How can I reset the font to be regular as opposed to bold? It looks horrible as you can see on the attached screengrab. ![]() I really would appreciate some advice here. |

Since it's happening in both Safari and Firefox, that suggests something might have been changed system wide that affects the browser. Have you recently installed any third party software that can be used to change the appearance of your iMac?
Also, you can open Safari Preferences and check to see what the preferred font is that it's using. I don't use FF but I imagine it has the same preference option for fonts. |

Might be a problem with your system's font cache. As far as I have read up, booting in safe mode will reset the font cache.
