i have a 21.5 inch imac with a NVidia geforce 9400 and an intel core duo (2.66 GHz). i already realized that the graphics cards are integrated chipsets, and not swappable. i am wondering if there was any way that i could put an newer/ more powerful graphics card, add ram, and put a new processor into my iMac.

Not possible with that model as the GPU is surface mounted to the logic board. You would have to replace the entire board and several other components. Not worth the money or trouble.
