I stumbled across an immaculate g5 800hz prossesor with 512 Mb ram. I was told by an employe that it works completely fine. It is selling for 50 bucks at a local thrift store isbit worth getting for a guest room computer or for web browsing. Let me know what you think!

An 800MHz is a pretty slow G4 and not a G5. This model was released way, way back in early 2003 and has a Geekbench score of 413 so do not expect much performance from it. Tiger OS X.4 is the latest operating system you can install natively, and is no longer supported by Apple.

Personally think the price is too dear as you can get a much later, and faster, G5 model from about $150 such as this one:-

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!

I would get it just for the look do not expect it to be very fast but it can still be usable. I would personally get it though because i am an apple collector. Why not ask 30 for it?

I'd pay $50 for it. Just because I resell Macs on Craigslist sometimes and the form factor alone causes them to sell for $100+

Not bad web browsing computers either IMO. My 700MHz still serves me decently.
