Hi.
I just replaced my HDD with another. I saw that Apple uses the internal sensor instead of external one, so i bought the Seagate Barracuda Green 2TB with the right connection. The thing is that i can't see the OS reading this temperature now. Is there any way to configure it or setup anything to make it work? Thank you. Last edited by yossefelbaz; 02-15-2012 at 10:35 AM. |

Tell us the year and model of your iMac. The newer iMacs use a proprietary drive and cable to provide temperature sensing that in turn controls the hard drive cooling fan.
