I have found a mac g4 on eBay and I have a few questing about it.

It doesn't have a power supply so I have found a 13 am 3 pin would this work

What software did it run when it was released

Can I use an iMac install disc to install snow leopard on them

Nope...those disks are model specific.

Sounds like a real bad deal.. the kinda thing I pick up for free. If I was you I would look for a G5....machine.

In the year 2012, I would not take a G4 machine of any sort even if you gave it to me for free. Too old, to expensive to get running to specs, obsolete, unable to use modern software ... the list just goes on and on.

Others with limited needs might find a G4 perfectly acceptable, but I wouldn't even use one as a word processor at this point.
