Greetings, everyone.
I'm not new to Apple (iPhone, MacBook) but am to the world of desktops. Took the plunge and grabbed a quad i5 21.5 iMac and am absolutely loving it. Was going to go with the 27, but figured to go with the beefier 21.5 version and run via thunderbolt my Vizio LED 22. Pure bliss. Mainly got it for video and photo editing but am excited to use it for everything now and possibly retire the MacBook. Returned the wireless keyboard for the corded larger one with numerical pad and I think that was a good choice. Magic mouse instead of trackpad (still pretty **** cool). Not sure how I feel about Lion compared to Snow Leopard but I thinkl I'll like it sooner than later. Anything I should be concerned about or tips/tricks that aren't blatantly obvious? Thanks and can't wait to put this thing to work. |

Hello LeRieth,
I am gonna get one of those iMacs for me. I have been switching between iMac and MacBook Pro - which one to buy. What do you say? Does your iMac runs hot? Thats what i am concerned about when going for Mac! Don't want that laptop thing, I don't need its portability. I just want a good performer!! Thanks in advance -Abhi |

In offering some help, let me stress that I have no financial or other connection with any company anywhere. With that out the way, there is a five star App for the iMac from Noteboom Productions called "Tutor for Lion". It costs £2.99 here in the UK. Once downloaded, the App contains dozens of top rate video lectures on just about anything you might want to know. The Index allows you to choose those best suited to you. The explanations are very clear. The website is: Noteboom Productions | Video Tutorials for the Rest of Us - Specializing in Apple Software I hope you all find your iMacs a joy to use. Ian |
