Hello Everyone,

I bought a 2nd hand mac mini off ebay last week and got it all connected up and it is brilliant compared to my previous one year old laptop. The only thing is that the previous owners name comes up sometimes asking me to put a password in. Is there any way i can wipe off the entire history and reload the cd to start afresh. I also have the old 0sx 10.4.11 tiger program installed and i was wanting to upgrade to a program which will work with my ipad 2 and iphone. My mac mini is a 1.5 intel core solo and i am not sure which program would suit my system best.

Look forward to hearing some recommendations as i dont know a great deal?

Thanks in advance

What model Mac Mini is this? Click on the Apple in the top left corner of the screen and on About this Mac. Post what it says there. We need to know the specs before we can tell you the best OSX for your machine.

Ah the first generation Intel Core Solo.

With that one you can upgrade to Snow Leopard. You can get a DVD of Snow Leopard from Apple for $29. OSX Lion will not install though as it wants a Core2Duo CPU.

And a big Oops. Did not see 1.5 Core Solo at the end of your first post! Sorry!
