Hi there my problem is that I got a new Lite-On ATAPI iHAP122 W Opictal disc drive for my G4 Tower Mirrored door Power Mac. I'm running OS X 10.5.8

My original Optical Pioneer Disc drive drive stopped working so I went on the website Mac Upgrades to find a suitable Disc Drive to get, the only one that was suggested was a Lite-On 22X DVD+/-RW DL IDE - IHAP122-19

I installed it into my Tower with no problems and it reconsises it in Disc utility and Toast, I can open and close the tray no problems but when I put in any sort of CD, DVD, or Blank Disc to try to Burn it keeps asking me to insert a writable disc??? I now have to Disc Drives that Can't read or Burn of Discs! I don't know what the problem is.

If anyone could shed some light on this please.

Regards moxey.
QUOTE Thanks
