Hi everyone. I asked about gaming on a mac a while ago, and I came up with a solution. I think it may be perfect for me.

Seems the problem with mac gamers is that they have to bootcamp to play games, and that involves buying the windows operating system and running the games on a video card not made for gaming.

I want to play mass effect 3, and this is my solution.

Playstation 3 makes a 3D monitor, with two HDMI connections and they advertise you can connect a computer to it. bestBuy sells it for 299$.

So, I will just replace my computer monitor (a Dell) with this one, buy a PS3 (249$ Harry Potter 3D edition), and connect my macbook pro to the monitor.

My biggest problem has been I wanted a gaming computer; and I know graphic wise, the PS3 and XBox are not a Falcon custom computer,... but the cost just doesn't add up for me going that way.

A budget Falcon (or Cyberpower, Alienwear, etc), is at least 1400$, and there is also a wait to get the computer, from weeks to a month). Buying a gaming computer would mean it wouldn't make sense to use my MacBook either (loosing 1600$) So, the turnaround would be 3000$ for a fast gaming computer.

now, with a the PS3 setup, the cost is 600$, and i loose my Dell monitor (350$), so the damage is around 950$.

It seems like a no brainer unless someone can come up with a fault in my thinking. I get 3D, I get BluRay, I use my mac for computer functions, I get Mass Effect 3 and Skyrim, and madden, and Fifa. Total out of pocket around 600$.

No, not a gaming computer, but I do stay Mac true.

Please don't let this post go comment-less, it took a lot of 'advanced' thought to figure this out. I would really love some feedback.
QUOTE Thanks
