hi

how can i tell a REV A from a REV B imac g5 ??

A 17" Superdrive iMac G5 Rev A has a 1.8Ghz processor + 256MB RAM.
A 17" Superdrive iMac G5 Rev B has a 2.0Ghz processor + 512MB RAM + Airport Card + Bluetooth installed.

the IMac im looking at for my sister is a 20inch 1.8ghz g5 no air port or bluetooth 160gb hard drive and 512mb ram. So it looks like it's a rev a IMac.

if its the one in your specs its a B. the revA's didnt come with the 2Ghz

thanks for the quick reply. I will pick it up tomorrow add another 512 or ram would it b best to install 10.4.3 or leave 10.3.9 on there ? :spook:

If you can I would take it to 10.4.3.

Also I would check the price out because the new macs offer even better value for money.
Unless you are getting a good price I would go for a new one due to the fact you have more bang for your buck and 1 years warranty.

this one is £600 and it comes with another 2 years apple care d-link bluetooth - bluetooth keyboard and Mighty mouse would u say thats worth it ?
